Congrats to new Excel Jiu Jitsu Oceanside BJJ Black Belt, Ray Sloan

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, Professor Chris Haueter, was guest Instructor last night and in a Co-Promotion between Chris Haueter & Michio Grubbs, Ray Sloan was awarded the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt.  Also, Nathan Murphy was awarded the Brown Belt.  Congratulations men!

Ray Sloan has put in the many thousands of hours of blood sweat and tears on and off the mats and has reached the level where the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey starts to branch in a new direction.  The new direction meaning; Along with the coveted BJJ Black Belt, the role and the responsibility of leadership, exemplifies and takes on a new meaning.  

Ray is all about ‘Team’.  He looks after everyone to make sure everyone keeps up, stays focused, and keeps on the right path.  He himself is will tell you, that he is a student for life and will continue to learn everyday.  He is confident at the same time humble.  He is a leader of leaders.  Ray is committed to excellence.
