Daniel hails from Richmond, VA where his parents currently reside. Daniel was medically retired from US Marine Corps after twelve years of service. His service included various deployments throughout the world. During his service, he attended the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) Instructors course in Quantico, VA. Daniel attended the one of the first crossover courses from Close Quarters Combat Course to MCMAP. As a MCMAP instructor, Daniel instructed over 100+ Marines from Tan to Black belt. As well as, several instructor courses.
Daniel holds 1st degree Black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a Black belt in Silkisondan Karate, ikyu in Aikido, ikyu in Judo, and Brown Belt in BJJ. Upon arriving in California, he was able to add to his skill set in training Jeet Kune Do (JKD) and the Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) particularly the Inosanto Blend and Pekiti-Tirisa Kali. Daniel currently trains under Michael Janich in the Martial Blade Concepts distance learning program and attending his annual seminars, as well as Pekiti-Tirisa Kali under Jeremy Heath. His current goal is to obtain instructor status in both of these arts.
Daniel has been an avid student of the martial arts for 30+ years. He thinks of his study as a path. A path that continually narrows, but never ends.
