I began Jiu Jitsu when I was in 8th grade at the age of 13 years old.

I first signed up to learn Self Defense and learn how to defend myself. To be ready for life situations and things that happen in life. I got hooked on Martial Arts and Jiu Jitsu!

Now, I love to grapple for fun, meet new people everyday, set up goals and challenge myself to get to that new level in jiu jitsu. I do both the BJJ classes and the No-Gi Jiu Jitsu classes.  I also do the Boxing training, the MMA class, and the strength and conditioning workoutsJiu JItsu lifestyle, BJJ life Benefits Art of Jiu Jitsu

Jiu Jitsu has helped me to appreciate the term respect. I compete in Jiu Jitsu tournaments and as I get ready for competition, I need the help of my teammates to prepare. I also like to help my fellow Jiu Jitsu Martial Artists as they get ready for tournament day. I also love having fun with my grappling family.

I’ve always felt safe and welcomed to my Excel Martial Arts Academy ever since I’ve started.

I’m very grateful to have achieved many new levels. I have become very strong but still want to continue to grow stronger.

I also am thankful for having an amazing professor and coaches for teaching me through this journey.
