Professor Michio Grubbs, with the help of Excel Jiu Jitsu students Ramon Contreras and Jon Lemus, demonstrates two variations of the BJJ Guard Pass technique, the ‘Toreando Pass‘.
Two Variations Toreando Guard Pass Technique
In the first variation of the Toreando Pass, Professor Michio demonstrates the knee drop to the mat, next to the opponents hip, then placing shoulder to onto opponents stomach to block opponents efforts to recover. then switching grips to score the Guard Pass.
In the second variation, Professor Michio starts with the same grips and instead of placing the knee to the mat, he hops into a back step to place weight on the opponents torso, then switches his grips to get the Guard Pass.
