Kids In-House BJJ Tournament
Excel Jiu Jitsu Academy will be hosting our last Kid’s In-House Jiu Jitsu Tournament for the year on Saturday December 7th 10:30am – 1:00pm.
This is another opportunity for our young athletes to practice competition Jiu Jitsu. Our In-House BJJ competition has boys and girls going against familiar training partners but in a competitive environment. We keep track of the score in a timed match with an audience, cheering and making noise. This is a great event for children to learn another aspect of Jiu Jitsu.
Boys and Girls Martial Arts Competition
Our Kids BJJ tournament has our young athletes gain more experience in the art of competition. Children will learn the values of winning and the values of losing in a pressure situation that helps educate these young martial artists on the lessons of composure.
There will be a referee, a time keeper and a score keeper to keep track of the matches for our competitors. There will be an audience of people cheering, yelling and screaming, teaching the kids to focus through distractions, to block out the noise and to pay attention to what’s going on in front of them.
Youth BJJ Tourney
Our Youth Jiu Jitsu tournaments are always exciting and is free for the public to come watch, cheer, and support. Our main objective is to mimic a bigger tournament outside of our Dojo, and to have the boys and girls experience Jiu Jitsu in a competitive setting.
Competition teaches us:
- · The values of winning and losing
- · To be brave in the face of a challenge
- · To test ourselves under pressure
- · To maintain focus under duress
- · The practice of Preparation
See you at the tournament!
“Our In-House tournament is not only an education in the art of Jiu Jitsu but teaches us so much about ourselves.”
